GEAR UP Meriden currently serves the class of 2025 across the City of Meriden at Francis T. Maloney High School and Orville H. Platt High School.
If you’re a student, parent, guardian or educator, you can increase college and career readiness with GEAR UP Meriden as your partner. A federally funded grant program through the USDOE that helps empower local students to think beyond what they see today. GEAR UP CT provides the tools, resources, and programs to help students starting as early as middle school to increase their success in education.
Together with Connecticut State Colleges & Universities, the Meriden Public School system, and CT State Community College @ Middlesex, GU Meriden supports current 12th graders. With the goal to increase the number of students and families prepared and ready to succeed in their post-secondary goals.
